La Giralda is the name given to the bell tower of the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Seville. It is perhaps the most reconized symbol of Seville. It has 97.5 m (101 m including Giraldillo), and it was the tallest building in Spain and currently still is in Sevilla, and one of the most famous buildings throughout Andalusia. At its cuspid is a ball which calls Giraldillo, a statue that serves as a weathervane and was the largest bronze sculpture in the European Renaissance.
